The Hornby Island Educational Society and the Hornby Island Community Fund Society are pleased to continue their partnership in the stewardship of the Bruce Fairbairn Memorial Bursary.
This award was established in the memory of Bruce Fairbairn in 1999, honoring the support and encouragement that Bruce gave to Hornby musicians. The intention is to support a Hornby student of any age in their pursuit of post-secondary education at a BC accredited post-secondary institution. Preference is given to students studying music or fine arts.
To be eligible for this year’s bursary, students must be enrolled for the school semester beginning September 2021. The bursary is to be used to cover the cost of tuition and payment is made directly to the institution.
Please find the application details at hornbyeducation.com or at hornbycommunityfund.org.
