Life Long Learning kicked off the new year with a wonderful first. The virtual garden tour of Vancouver’s Dr Sun Yat-Sen Garden zoom presentation by Hayne Wai and Bob Wilmott was well attended and received great positive feedback. On the heels of the garden tour, we were able to connect with local filmmakers Dale Devost and Brian Kittleson who shared a shorter version of their film ‘A Friendly Bridge’, which followed the creation of the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden to the opening in 1986. After the viewing, there was a question and answer period with the film creators. We are thrilled to see so many islanders and off islanders joining us for these different presentations.
